PAThS Cohort #4 – in class this month

For the past three weeks I have been in Lomé Togo for the Pan-Africa Theological Seminary (PAThS) July session. We have a group of 13 doctoral students from all over West Africa. One is the General Superintendent of his country. Others are Bible school teachers and administrators, and pastors of influential churches. Yesterday I spoke in chapel on “Faith, Suffering, Miracles and the Sovereignty of God.” I let the students know that God has a plan and He is working out that plan through the obedience of His servants.

This is our final week for this quick term (one month long). The students will return to their places of ministry and then return to PAThS in November for more of their courses. In November we will have a three day lectureship series where Dr. Jim Bradford, the general secretary of the US Assemblies of God will be the speaker. We are all looking forward to that time together.

The Togo elections are tomorrow, so there has been a lot of commotion around the city of Lomé, with various groups moving around, making a lot of noise and trying to rally people to their candidate. If you find yourself in the middle of one of these rallies, it is quite possible you will have flyers for their candidate plastered all over your car before you can get away. Please pray for a peaceful election tomorrow!
